Fortitude Valley is the birthplace of great Australian bands dating from the 1970s — from the Riptides and the Saints to Regurgitator and Powderfinger. This artwork recalls some of those bands and the Valley's distinctive music history, integrating lyrics and text extracts from Brisbane author Andrew Stafford's cult classic, Pig City. The work spans 400 metres of the Fortitude Valley Railway Station platform. Above ground, the Valley continues to evolve as a hub for music and live performance.
